Big Boi performs during NPR's Tiny Desk concert series.

Big Boi jammed to “So Fresh, So Clean,” “All Night” and “The Way You Move” in an NPR Music Tiny Desk performance published Tuesday (Oct. 9). The rapper was joined by Organized Noize’s Sleepy Brown and an eight-member hip-hop band.

The crew stood behind a small desk in a crowded room stocked with books and memorabilia. The members began singing the jazzy OutKast 2000 jam “So Fresh, So Clean” with a trumpet duo and bass jumping into the action. Big Boi breezed through the song's rap verses while the backup singers kept it mellow, giving the song an effortlessly comfortable feel.

Big Boi’s “All Night” song from his most recent BOOMIVERSE album arrived next and featured an upbeat piano track overlaid with swinging vocals that pushed the song along. The whole room filled with energy as the band moved in time with the music.

The group concluded their performance with the 2003 OutKast throwback “The Way You Move,” complete with record scratches and several lines sung by Sleepy Brown’s smooth voice. The crowd's erupting applause could be heard as the video finished.
