Sheck Wes' Debut Project 'Mudboy' Is Here: Listen

Cian Moore
Sheck Wes

With Sheck Wes' infectious record "Mo Bamba" crossing over to Top 40 territory this week on the Hot 100 (it currently sits at No. 31), the Harlem native makes his emphatic debut with his new tape Mudboy today (Oct. 5).

The 14-track project was released through Travis Scott's imprint Cactus Jack, G.O.O.D. Music and Interscope. Mudboy includes several previously-released bangers including "Chippi Chippi" and "Live Sheck Wes, Die Sheck Wes."

Since he exploded onto the rap frontier, Wes has garnered attention from a bevy of artists, most notably Drake, who has already brought him out several times during his Scorpion Tour. "To me, it's like bigger than them, said Wes in a recent interview with Billboard about receiving praise Travis Scott and Drake. "I think just like the kids that recognize you or even older people at the club who be like, 'That's my son,' that's huge. All around? It's crazy. It's still weird. A UPS truck comes by and is playing the song. It's in movies, video games, it's everywhere. I go overseas and all the soccer players come to me, like, 'Yeah bro, we always play "Mo Bamba."' It's crazy. The whole impact is just wow."
