What's the best way to celebrate a clean bill of health? If you're Kanye West it's by digging into a giant plate of humanity's best bet for abundant protein in the post-global warming era: yes, bugs. On Tuesday (Oct. 2), Ye told followers that his dad, Ray West, had gotten good news from doctors about his cancer going into remission, so the pair found a most unique way to toast to good health.

“Overcome fear,” Kanye captioned an Instagram pic of a take-out container filled with crickets, a pair of chopsticks at the ready. “My dad and I are going to eat this plate of bugs to celebrate him beating cancer. No more fear."

Back in July, People magazine confirmed that Ray West had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Ye originally teased that his next album, Yandhi, would be released on Saturday (Sept. 29), but it has now been pushed back until Nov. 23.
