Saba Delivers Soothing Medley For NPR's Latest Tiny Desk Concert: Watch
Saba recently stopped by the NPR offices in Washington D.C. for the latest installment of their Tiny Desk Concert series, which dropped in full on Monday (Oct. 1).
Six months following the release of CARE FOR ME, the Chicago native continues the support of his cathartic sophomore LP. Coinciding with the release of additional album merchandise, Saba made sure to bring along everyone who contributed to the project, ranging from vocalists to producers making appearances on the LP. "Fun fact, everyone who is up here, was involved with the album. It felt right to bring that same energy," he relayed.
The Pivot gang member prepared the audience prior to introducing his father, who was referenced multiple times on the album. "You're not gonna believe me when I say it, this is Chandlar, my father," Saba revealed, before pointing behind him out in his own 2014 concert merch and a Panama hat.
The 24-year-old then continued to run through his CFM medley of tracks from the album, including the Chance The Rapper-assisted "Logout," "Busy/Sirens," "Heaven All Around Me," and heavy project standout cut "Life." Saba's melodic flow is accompanied by luscious live instrumentation throughout the euphonious performance.
The Bucket List Project artist's focus now switches to gearing up for the abbreviated Care For Me Tour in November, which will trek through Australia, New Zealand, and Asia to close out 2018.
