Dave Chappelle performs to a sold out crowd onstage at the Hollywood Palladium on March 25, 2016 in Los Angeles.

Earlier in September, T.I. announced a partnership with Epic Records, along with his tenth studio album Dime Trap and two coinciding singles in "Jefe" and "Wraith." It now looks as if we could be inching toward the project's release, as Tip shared a cryptic teaser for the LP featuring a cameo from the voice of Dave Chappelle on Tuesday (Sept. 25).

"All my life all I wanted to do was be great. If the stakes are everything, you'll tell yourself anything you need to hear to survive," the legendary comic can be heard saying with an ominous organ sounding off in the background. "Everything I say is the truth and that's a lie, and that's the motherfucking truth."

The Atlanta trapper shares that the album is on the way, but is yet to stamp the effort with an official release date. "I present to you... album X, The Dime Trap Feat. Dave Chappelle as The voice in my head. The wait is almost over. Coming Freakishly Soon," he wrote in the caption.

Hip-hop culture and comedy have often come to intersect in the past. Chris Rock made a standout appearance on Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album for the John Legend-assisted "Blame Game" back in 2010.
