Mike Shinoda has released a colorful stop-motion video for his single "Make It Up As I Go" featuring K.Flay today (Sept. 21).

The video includes collages and layers of color, and images of the Linkin Park co-founder and K.Flay. The song's message of facing adversity is portrayed through the video's storyline of a tumultuous romance seen in black-and-white.

The track appears on Shinoda's newest solo album Post Traumatic, which comes after the suicide of Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington. Shinoda's grief takes an animated form on Post Traumatic that touches on subjects such as his despair, fear and ultimate decision to begin a new life. "I know the path ahead's uneven, but while I'm breathing I have to make my own lane," are some of the lyrics from "Make It Up As I Go" that hint at the rapper's growth and eventual rebirth.
