Before Mac Miller's untimely death, Dreamville's J.I.D. was preparing to embark on the Pittsburgh MC's multi-city jaunt in support of his August-released album Swimming. With the tour now canceled, J.I.D. is back in album mode and looking to gain traction with his scorching new single "151 Rum."

The lead single from Dicaprio 2 finds J.I.D. knifing his way through the Nice Rec & Christo with callous disregard. His dizzying wordplay proves to be the highlight on the track as he rhymes, "Son of a god, son of a bitch/ Son of a woman and man, son of a son, and then sunk in abyss/ Summon a plant, please come with a strip/ Cover my back, cover mad, please come with the bliss." With an abundance of rum references littered throughout the track, "151 Rum" will surely leave any Dreamville fan in a daze.

After wowing fans with his debut effort The Never Story in 2017, J.I.D. explained on Instagram this past weekend how he plans to veer in a different direction with his sophomore effort, Dicaprio 2. "This project isn’t like the nevrr story or anything u heard from me b4, it isn’t my gkmc or whatever else your are expecting it to be 'headass' lol its not what I expected it to be but I love it and I appreciate the journey it took me through to get me here," he wrote on IG.
