Mac Miller's death of an apparent drug overdose has sent shockwaves through the hip-hop community. The unfortunate tragedy has prompted many artists, including J. Cole and Joe Budden, to speak out about drug culture and addiction issues plaguing the genre. Bow Wow continued the conversation this week by divulging his lean addiction, even though he's never mentioned it in his music.

The Like Mike star has been open about his mental health struggles throughout the year and revealed the truth about his lean usage in a string of tweets Monday. "To the youth- Stop with these dumb ass drugs. Im going to let something out. When me and Omarion worked on FACE OFF album. I was high off lean every day," he admitted. "When y'all saw me on BET going off on Torae, I was high off lean. My attitude everything changed."

The 31-year-old explained his plans to be more outspoken with the next generation in urging the youth to remain drug-free. "Kick that shit! Be a good son or daughter. Be the best you. I'ma start being more vocal. We gotta save the youth from going out early," the artist born Shad Moss continued. "DRUG-FREE IS THE WAY TO BE! smarten up tighten up out here. We can't lose no more of you. Not one! I love all y'all."
