Here are five things we learned from Monday's jam-packed Queen Radio episode on Beats 1 on Apple Music.
Feeling Humiliated Following the Harper's Bazaar Altercation
Regardless of what actually occurred between Cardi and Nicki's teams on Friday, Minaj is regretful of having the embarrassing incident take place at New York Fashion Week. "The other night, I was a part of something so mortifying and humiliating to go through a bunch of upper-echelon people who have their lives together," she began. The way they passed by looking at this disgusting commotion, I was mortified. I could not believe how humiliating it all felt because of how we made ourselves look."
Nicki Says She Would Never Talk About Anyone's Child or Parenting
Nicki kicked off the Bardi drama by playing a clip of the "Bodak Yellow" artist from an interview with The Fader. "Nothing is off-limits. I hate when some people come at me like, 'Why you coming at kids for?' I'm my mother's baby," says Cardi. The origin of the Bronx native lashing out looks to be thanks to fans uncovering a series of tweets liked by Nicki surrounding Cardi being a mother.
"I would never talk about anyone’s child or parenting. I don’t care about anyone’s parenting. It’s so crazy to me that people always need to make Onika the bad guy. I am not a clown," Minaj declared. "That’s clown shit. Telling the world that someone said something so you don’t look dumb is clown shit. You knew when that footage came out you were about to look fucking dumb."
Nicki Claims Cardi B Has Built a Career Off 'Sympathy & Payola'
The 35-year-old brought it back to hip-hop and is clearly frustrated by Cardi's meteoric rise through the ranks in music. "They put out a statement and I didn’t even feel the need to defend myself that night. We did just hear this woman say nothing is off-limits, even kids," Nicki asserted for the second time. "She has built her career off of sympathy and payola. I saw someone’s publicist write a lot of lies about me. If I were to tell you the real thing about some of these people, you would be on the floor," the Young Money rapper contested.
Clarissa Details 2014 Social Media Exchange Where Cardi B Called her Dead Son a 'Monkey'
Nicki brought on a guest caller named Clarissa to share her experience of allegedly being cyberbullied by Cardi B in a heated Instagram exchange back in 2014. Clarissa detailed how the Atlantic Records artist referred to her dead child as a "monkey" when clapping back. Minaj also referenced the unearthed posts of Cardi calling dark-skinned black women "cockroaches."
"In 2014 she had posted an Instagram video, before she got on Love & Hip-Hop, and she made a video talking about her teeth. She said she wouldn’t get them done. I commented telling her to get them done. She came to my profile and must've read my bio and came back at me saying, 'That’s why you shouldn’t have been on drugs maybe your kid would be alive.' She called him a monkey," Clarissa explained. A disgusted Nicki later referred to Cardi as a "disgusting pig."
Nicki Insinuates Cardi B Had to Have Sex With a DJ to Play her Music
The Queen artist kept the full-court press on. She hinted that Cardi had to bribe DJs and radio outlets to play her records early on in her career and even took a shot at the 25-year-old's writing ability. "Who are you angry at, sweetheart? Do you know what it’s like to sit in your room for hours writing raps? You came into my fucking culture. I never had to fuck a DJ to play my songs," she proclaimed.
