Nicki Minaj Details North American NICKIHNDRXX Tour Cancellation: 'I Don't Have the Time to Rehearse'

Soon after Live Nation announced the cancellation of North America's NICKIHNDRXX Tour Tuesday night (Aug. 21), Nicki Minaj took to Twitter to publicly explain why her co-headlining trek was being delayed to May of 2019. She asserted that the Europe and Australia dates would remain the same, but isn't sure Future will be able to join her due to scheduling conflicts stateside next year.

"Future and I will now start the European leg of our tour first, so those dates will stay exactly the same and the U.S. leg of the tour will now start in May," the Queens native said. "With Future's schedule, I may have to take another co-headliner or I may just do it like I did The Pinkprint Tour and it wouldn't be a co-headline. I probably will just have three or four opening acts."

Nicki claims she just doesn't have the proper time left to put together the top-tier quality of show needed on tour next month (Sept. 21). "This is all happening because I pushed my album back two months and I just finished writing and recording literally hours before the album came out," she said. "Now, I simply don't have the time to rehearse and be on the road and give you guys the level of a show I need to give. I really apologize but it will be worth it."
