School is back in session this week for students around the nation, which means it's time for teachers to act like they know what's up. And what's the best way to show the kids you're down? By using Cardi B jokes, of course.

As spotted by BuzzFeed, 23-year-old English and creative writing high school teacher Rebecca Newby of Pine Bluff, Ark., came up with a cool way to make bathroom breaks fun: by fashioning a hall pass out of the popular "My Momma Said" Cardi B meme.

The meme, which blew up earlier this year when the "I Like It" rapper posted a picture of her 5-year-old self, hand saucily on hip, has been refashioned by Newby into a hall pass with phrases including "Ms. Newby said I can go to the restroom" and "Ms. Newby said I can go to the library."

Explaining her twist on the boring old hall pass, Newby told BuzzFeed, "My students love Cardi B, and so do I, by the way." Printing out the meme, laminating it and hot-gluing them to cardboard "literally cost me $0 and took only a matter of minutes," she added.

The cute effort has since blown up and elicited thousands of comments and shares; Newby said she could not be happier. "We must remain relatable to our students," she said. "Hall passes are just a small piece to creating the culture of my classroom. I became a teacher because I realized how important it is to have 'good' teachers."
