Travis Scott Announces First-Ever Astroworld Festival in Houston
For Travis Scott, the thrilling ride of Astroworld has just begun. After decimating the competition with a staggering 450,000 equivalent album sales during his opening week, Scott kept his foot on the gas and announced his brand new festival Astroworld on Friday (Aug. 10).
The inaugural festival will take place in Scott's hometown of Houston, TX on Nov. 17. To keep the Astroworld theme intact, Scott will perform at NRG park, which is right across the street from the famed amusement park. Not only will Scott serve as the festival's headliner, but he'll also be handpicking the talent for the night's festivities.
"Travis, myself and our entire Cactus Jack team couldn't be more excited to finally reveal our plans for the first-ever Astroworld Festival," David Stromberg, Travis Scott's manager and GM of Cactus Jack Records, said in a release. "Our ultimate goal in launching this Fest is to bring some well-deserved recognition to Travis' hometown of Houston, the place that has made him both the man and creative artist he is today. H-Town has an incredible rich cultural history, and we look forward to showcasing to residents from Travis' own backyard and across the globe what makes this city so special. Make sure to get your tickets now as the inaugural Astroworld will be a really special and unique experience not to be missed."
Early-bird GA and VIP tickets are both available now at astroworldfest.com. Performers will be named at a later time.
