Tkay Maidza has officially released the video for “Flexin” along with the announcement of her new EP, Last Year Was Weird Vol 1.

The London-based video features Tkay taking the field with a team of female rugby players, bridging the equality gap between male and female athletes. The rapper seamlessly pulls off the role thanks to her athletic history as a former champion tennis player.

“'Flexin’' is an ode to being yourself and being unapologetic for it,” Maidza says of the song.

Having already found success since her getting her musical start in 2014, Maidza is becoming one of the most recognized hip-hop artists in Australia, and anticipation is high for her latest musical endeavor.

The eight-track EP will drop Aug. 31 via Downtown Records, delivering fans the newest phase of her career. “The old Tkay has grown, but it’s still lit,” as she puts it.
