Travis Scott performs at Wireless Festival Day 2 at Finsbury Park on July 8, 2017 in London, England.

After much anticipation, and a bevy of fan theories based on the impending release of Astroworld, Travis Scott finally silenced all the rumors on Monday afternoon (July 30) from his Twitter account.

"Astroworld 8/3/18," tweeted Scott, who punctuated his post with several emojis, including two globes and a spaceship. In addition to the Friday release date, Scott also tantalized fans with an album trailer. Dubbed "Astroworld Trailer (Stargazing)," Scott is found exploring a snowy planet named after his forthcoming album. With his Auto-Tune vocals drilled tightly around the hard-hitting teaser, the young virtuoso can be heard singing lines like, "We propelling, on top with Ellen."

For Scott, Astroworld will serve as a follow-up to his 2016 platinum album Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight. The tuneful project doled out Travis' first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spawned several platinum singles including his Kendrick Lamar-assisted record "Goosebumps" and "Biebs in the Trap."

Earlier this year, Scott recruited Kanye West and Lil Uzi Vert for his single "Watch." The record peaked at No. 16 on the Hot 100.
