50 Cent decided to take a break from his longstanding war of words with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and share some exciting news regarding the next episode of his Power series on STARZ. Kendrick Lamar will be making a special guest appearance this Sunday (July 29) for a cameo on episode 505, according to a statement released by the show's executive producer Mark Canton.

Fifty initially teased the possibility of a surprise during Sunday's Power on Instagram. "Yeah you know I’m different, wait till you see Power this Sunday. You're not going to believe who we got on the show," he wrote. The coinciding clip pointed to Kanan, the character 50 portrays, making an unlikely ally this week.

Mark Canton, who serves as an executive producer on set, confirmed the Kung Fu Kenny appearance for the episode titled "Happy Birthday" in a press release. "Kendrick is a once in a generation talent and Courtney, 50 and I felt it would be exciting to create a role for him in ‘Power.’ Everyone involved is thrilled to have him join the family," he said of the Pulitzer Prize winner.
