Less than a week after making his appearance on Future's surprise project Beast Mode 2, Young Scooter returns with new solo material. Earlier this year, Scooter dropped his single "Jugg King," and on Tuesday (July 10), he returned with the song's remix, featuring Rick Ross and T.I.

From the get-go, Ross drills his way through the chilling instrumental with his sinister raps. "Ya-yo when I'm on the block, Ya-yo in the coffee pot/ Ya-yo in the rent-a-car, I'm sold out by 10 o'clock," says the MMG commander. After Scooter sings the hook, T.I. skewers his foes with a punchy verse. Without hesitation, the self-proclaimed "King of the South" doubles down on his thoughts of being the originator of trap music. "This trap music, this is my shit/ N---a tell you anything else, they ain't about shit," declares T.I.

Despite the remix coming out six months after the song's initial release, Scooter is glad that the streets took their time to appreciate his record. "'Jugg King' is a song for the streets, but it’s got crossover appeal too because of the melody of it," Scooter tells Billboard. "It’s some cocky words and that’s how a lot of people feel, especially people with money. I be more on street hits. I wanted to get Ross and T.I. because I’m real big fans of their music and they’re big in the streets. They were the perfect match."

Though Scooter previously enlisted Ross for his 2013 "Colombia (Remix)," he was grateful to have nabbed both him and T.I. for his robust track. "I loved Ross’ energy on my 'Columbia (Remix)' and I love how Tip switches [his] verses up so much. He comes with different melodies and I expect that," he said.
