Last week (June 22), Gucci Mane scored a huge win after he received songwriter of the year at the 31st annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards. During his torrid streak, Gucci rattled off several impressive verses, most notably on his track "Both" featuring Drake and Rae Sremmurd's Hot 100 chart-topper "Black Beatles."
On Monday night (June 25) at the 2018 NBA Awards, Gucci expressed his gratitude towards the ASCAP committee after winning his latest award.
"I didn't aim to get that award," he told Billboard. "I was just doing my thang and I was surprised when I got it, but I'm definitely grateful that I got it. I appreciate it."
