Back in May, Valee teamed up with fellow Chicago native Jeremih to release the catchy "Womp Womp" single. After picking up steam, the earworm of a track is poised to become a potential summer anthem. The G.O.O.D. Music signee reconnects with Hebru Brantley to helm the "Womp Womp" short film, which arrived on Tuesday (June 26).
The track's visual develops in a nonlinear fashion, as the movie's controller jumps around nine various chapters, leaving interpretation up to the viewers' imagination when trying to piece together what exactly transpired throughout the four-minute clip. The video begins by changing the language settings from English to Womp Womp as the final credits roll.
The scene pivots to "'79 Cadillac," where Valee actually gets hit by the burgundy vehicle and decides to hop in following the heist that previously took place. Jeremih makes a cameo at the tail end of the video, joining his "Womp Womp" collaborator and Chicago artist Hxlt, who plays the role of the getaway driver, to successfully flee the scene.
