Cardi B has donated $8,000 to the family of Lesandro (Junior) Guzman-Feliz, the 15-year-old slain on Wednesday (June 20) in the Bronx.

The teen was attacked by five members of a local gang, in what has been reported as a “mistaken identity" case, following an altercation inside a bodega in the Belmont section of the Bronx. Surveillance video showing the suspects and the crime was shared widely across social media.

Junior managed to escape in route to a local hospital, but passed away before making it, according to ABC 7.

Cardi, who is also a Bronx native, donated a large sum under her real name "Belcalis Almanzar" to the family’s GoFundMe account. The fund has raised over $150,000 for Junior's funeral expenses.

The rapper shared her thoughts on Instagram and criticized law enforcement, stating that they didn't do enough to help. She wrote: “#justiceforjunior ----These Bronx streets are ruthless .What piss me off the most is that these BX cops be harassing the shit outta people then they see a boy bleeding to death and ask what happen?"

Cardi later uploaded a video to Instagram of Leandra, Junior's mother, thanking her for the donation, and called for others to donate to the GoFundMe as well.

"Shheeeshhh this made me teared and made me feel soooo special like i feel maa special," she added.

On Friday (June 22), the NYPD shared video footage of the five suspects and asked the public for any information about the men. The NYPD released an updated statement on Sunday (June 24), and announced that number of arrests have been made in connection to the stabbing.

“Arrests have been made and more are anticipated. Suspects are currently being questioned. We thank the public for the outpouring of tips shared and we encourage people to continue to come forward and share them by calling #800577TIPS. The case is ongoing #JusticeForJunior,” NYPD said in a tweet.

Funeral services for Junior are being held today (June 25) and tomorrow (June 26) from 3 to 9 p.m., at the R.G. Ortiz Funeral Home on 524 Southern Boulevard in the Bronx.
