Following the release of her successful self-titled debut project in 2017, pineappleCITI returns to keep the momentum going by bringing her May single "Issues" to life. The New Jersey rapper unleashes the vociferous visual via Billboard premiere on Friday (June 15) as part of celebrating Pride Month.

The Ronald Reid-directed clip opens in a warehouse with a plethora of beautiful women by PC's side transporting and cutting up pineapples as part of a quasi-assembly line. The "Pepsi" rhymer injects herself into the visual while rapping from atop a throne. "Now I’m young and I’m richer going dumb in this bitch/ In so many mags that I’m done with the issues/ Never loved the ho, no I never really miss you," she boldly quips.

In the next scene, she takes aim at Donald Trump in the boxing ring. PineappleCITI lands a knockout punch against someone posing in a Donald Trump mask, making for a controversial optic against the president. Rappers such as Snoop Dogg have exuded their anti-Trump sentiment by including depictions of him in their music videos.

Famed DJ Clinton Sparks is credited with discovering PineappleCITI and played an integral role in crafting the Swift Bangaz-produced "Issues" record. "When we first met in the studio, we talked for a few hours before I even heard any of her music. During this, I knew I already wanted to work with her because she was a dope human," he exclusively tells Billboard. "She has it all. When I heard her music, I felt the vibe of a female Drake meets Missy [Elliott] and Lauryn Hill. Get Familiar.”
