Team Backpack, the San Francisco-bred collective known for curating cyphers with underground and independent artists over the years, is expanding its reach with the launch of the upcoming World Underground Festival in August.

A crop of hip-hop heavyweights and up-and-coming artists are set to hit the stage at the Melrose Ballroom in Long Island City, Queens, for the three-day festival. On August 29, Harlem rapper Dave East will headline the first show of the festival with fellow performers Marlon Craft, Siimba, Radamiz and more.

Azealia Banks will follow suit with her own headlining performance on August 30, along with neo-soul duo Oshun, G.L.A.M. and Coco Mamba. The final day will see performances from Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Locksmith, Chris Rivers and plenty more.

Aside from the star-studded bill, guests will be able to experience live dance and emcee competitions, art exhibits, food, games and more.
