The Weeknd Announces New Beats 1 Radio Show Memento Mori

It's never too late to pick up a new hobby, and The Weeknd is ready to delve into the world of radio with the launch of his new Beats 1 show, Memento Mori. The singer announced his new show on his socials Wednesday (June 6), ahead of its official launch date on Friday. 

"Introducing MEMENTO MORI. while he’s been hiding out in Paris, he’s decided to start a radio show and present all of the music thats inspiring some late nights… You can listen to it on Friday. I present you… mementooo moriiii," Abel wrote on his socials. He shared a photo of a skull with two "M's" placed over the eyes, and "Memonto Mori" written across the mouth.

According to the official Apple Music page for The Weeknd's new show, the singer is currently living in Paris and will share songs that are inspired by "some very memorable nights."

The Weeknd's Memento Mori show will join the growing pool of artist-curated radio shows, like Drake's OVO Sound and Frank Ocean's Blonded Radio.
