Nicki Minaj Hints That She and Ariana Grande Have More New Music Coming

Could there be another Nicki/Ariana collaboration besides 'The Light Is Coming?'

Last week, Ariana Grande surprised fans when she previewed her Nicki Minaj collaboration "The Light Is Coming" at iHeartRadio’s Wango Tango in Los Angeles. Since her performance, fans have been anxiously waiting for the audio version of the track. Minaj and Grande capitalized on listeners' impatience when they teased the possibility of another collaboration on Monday (June 4).

Questions of a new track arose when an Ariana Grande fan account tweeted that "The Light Is Coming" was in the process of being filmed. "Tlic mv is being shot rn as we speak, we truly aren’t ready for the looks nicki and ariana will serve," read the tweet. Grande debunked those claims, and said that the video was already shot and completed. "Nah we already shot dat one," she tweeted. A fan caught wind of Grande's response and asked her to elaborate further on her previous tweet. “Dat one” IS THERE MORE?!," said the fan, which caused Nicki Minaj to send out a several playful emojis in response.

In the past several weeks, Minaj and Grande have tantalized fans with a slew of cryptic messages, hinting that they were working on new music. First, Minaj posted a video of Grande singing on Instagram and lauded her for having "flawless vocals." "Ariana singing Chun-Li is such a mood. Queen of flawless vocals @ every live performance. We’re up to something," she captioned the post. Several days later, Grande teased her collaboration with Nicki on Twitter with a 21-second clip.

With "The Light Is Coming" set to appear on Grande's forthcoming album, Sweetener, there's a chance that the second collaboration will land on Nicki's new project, Queen, which is set to drop Aug. 10.
