Pusha T Will Replace BROCKHAMPTON at Governors Ball Music Festival

Pusha T performs at Longitude Festival at Marlay Park on July 15, 2017 in Dublin, Ireland.

The announcement comes after BROCKHAMPTON removed Ameer Vann from the group amidst sexual misconduct allegations.

After BROCKHAMPTON ousted founding member, Ameer Vann, amid sexual misconduct allegations, BH canceled the reminder of their tour dates to "regroup." Since they will be on hiatus for the time being, their slot at the Governors Ball Music Festival opened up. Don't fret, rap fans -- Governors Ball has already found their replacement, recruiting Pusha T for this weekend's festivities.

"We are excited to announce that @kingpush will now be playing the american eagle stage at 5:45pm saturday night! brockhampton will no longer be playing the festival this weekend," read the statement on Governors Ball's Instagram.

Pusha T is coming off the release of his new album Daytona, which boasts appearances from Kanye West and Rick Ross. The seven-track album -- which finds West serving as the album lone's producer -- was lauded by the hip-hop community. Despite the acclaim, on Friday (May 25), Pusha found himself entangled in a contentious war of words with Drake after the 6 God dropped his scathing record "Duppy Freestyle."

Will Pusha T respond back at Drake during his performance at Governors Ball? Only time will tell.

The fest will take place from June 1-3 at Randall's Island Park in New York City. Check out the announcement below.
