Back in March, Ty Dolla $ign unexpectedly dropped the tropical-tinged single “Pineapple” with powerhouse features from Gucci Mane and Quavo. While the single seemed like just a throwaway, Dolla $ign took to Twitter on Monday (May 7) to confirm that the single was in fact part of an upcoming deluxe edition of his monumentally successful Beach House 3 project, and that it would drop this Friday (May 11.)

Dolla $ign also confirmed that the new edition would include six new tracks, one of them being “Clout,” which dropped earlier today and includes a tight feature from 21 Savage.

The track in itself finds Dolla $ign in his zone, crooning over a smooth Hitmaka instrumental. “Smash for the clout, Dash, I’m out, TT, GT for the clout,” he sings on the hook. When the first verse picks up, Dolla $ign effortlessly flows: “I’m a full time finnesser, ain’t no chancing it, Hundred hanging off my neck like a chandelier."

While the tracks theme mainly revolves around women wanting Dolla $ign for his fame, 21 Savage keeps it simple and does what he does best: raps about his lavish expenses. “Balenciaga book bag, OG gas in the puch, Double G slippers, Prada rugs in the house,” he raps. Overall, the track is smooth, and deserves a spot on any weekend playlist.
