Marion "Suge" Knight appears for a hearing at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center March 9, 2015 in Los Angeles.

Suge Knight's ongoing court saga has caused several delays in his murder trial, but now his trial has finally received a starting date, Los Angeles Times reports.

On Monday, a judge officially set Knight's murder trial date for September 24. Knight is currently in prison on murder charges stemming from an incident that began on the set of the 2015 film Straight Outta Compton involving Knight and two men, Terry Carter and Cle “Bone” Sloan. The men reportedly got into a dispute, which resulted in Knight striking the two men with his truck and killing Carter.

Knight's trial was initially scheduled for the beginning of this year, January 8, but was delayed after members of Knight's defense team -- Thaddeus Culpepper and Matthew Fletcher-- were indicted for attempting to bribe witnesses.

The trial was then pushed to April, but Knight was suddenly hospitalized for eye-related issues, according to his sister, Karen Anderson.

Knight was also in a separate hearing due to previous criminal threats made against Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray in 2014.
