Meek Mill Fans Turn Twitter Into One Big Homecoming Party After Prison Release

The wait is over: Meek Mill has been released from prison.

The past few months have been a long, tumultuous experience for Meek Mill, who was sentenced to two to four years in prison for violating probation and his legal battles ever since have been marred in controversy. But now, the rapper can finally breathe a huge sigh of relief as the efforts of his legal team and peers have culminated with the Pennsylvania Supreme Court granting the rapper bail.

Meek's longtime friend, comedian Kevin Hart, was one of the first to break the news. "Meek Mill is Frrrrreeeeeeeee ....I just left from seeing him in jail with @michaelgrubin and we were just told that he is being released. Woooooooow......Stand Up Philadelphia!!!!!" he wrote on Instagram

Meek took to Twitter to thank his family, friends and fans for their support. "I’d like to thank God, my family, and all my public advocates for their love, support and encouragement during this difficult time," he wrote. "While the past five months have been a nightmare, the prayers, visits, calls, letters and rallies have helped me stay positive."

It didn't take long for fans to flock to their timelines to celebrate the news as Twitter transformed into a virtual party, with crying, fire and heart emojis flooding screens.
