It's Cardi B's world, we're all just streaming it. Apple announced on Friday (Apr. 13) that Cardi's debut album, Invasion of Privacy, set a new Apple Music record for the most streamed album by a female artist in a single week. According to Apple's figures, Privacy racked up more than 100 million streams worldwide shattering the previous record.
In fact, by mid-week the streams of Privacy had already more than doubled those of Taylor Swift's Reputation, which previously held the record; Reputation was not available for streaming until three weeks after its release. Currently, Cardi's album holds the No. 5 spot on Apple Music's worldwide chart of most streamed albums ever, leaping over Ed Sheeran's Divide and The Weeknd's Starboy. As if that wasn't enough, her collab with Latin powerhouses Bad Bunny and J. Balvin, "I Like It," is the No. 1 most streamed song off the album worldwide.
