Nicki Minaj's 'Chun-Li' & 'Barbie Tingz' Arrive: Read the Excited Fan Reactions

Nicki Minaj isn’t the most media-shy celebrity out there, so when the rapper took a leave of absence from social media back in December it caused speculation about what caused her abrupt hiatus. Fans were left  clamoring for new material throughout her five-month-long break. Well, Nicki ended her silence earlier this week when she took to Twitter to taunt fans with a series of cryptic tweets, hinting at an upcoming release of some sort and sharing the cover art for her two new singles, “Barbie Tingz” and “Chun Li.”

As promised, Nicki returned on Thursday (Apr. 12) to premiere the songs Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio and understandably, Barbs could barely contain their excitement.

Minaj rides solo on both tracks, which she described as "pop sh-t type records. "Chun Li" was unveiled first, powered by menacing synths and a booming drum beat, allowing enough space for the rapper to lay down her acrobatic flow. "Barbie Tingz" followed suit, blending thick drum kicks with spacey loops.

As fans try to recover, check out the best reactions so far to Nicki's new singles below.
