Billboard 200-topping rapper XXXTentacion continues to find himself entangled in controversy. On Monday night (March 26), social media users unearthed footage of a person who appears to be XXXTentacion hitting a woman on the side of her head. At the beginning of the video, XXX appears to be dancing behind the woman and later, strikes her, as the camera abruptly cuts out.

Last December, the 20-year-old was released from prison and placed on house arrest after he was slapped with a multitude of charges stemming from an alleged assault of his pregnant ex-girlfriend in 2016. Last week, he was taken off house arrest so that he can resume touring, in hopes of aiding his financial situation.

According to TMZ, prosecutors in XXX's domestic violence case are currently reviewing the old footage. XXX's attorney, Jaclyn Broudy, tells Billboard that the video "was done as friends." She adds, "He did not hit her. This was clearly being done by people that are trying to bring him down. That's the cost of fame, people are always going to bring him down."
