It seems basic knowledge at this point that Kendrick Lamar is considered one of the most talented MC’s in modern day hip-hop, yet fellow rapper Lupe Fiasco wasn't quite convinced KDot is a "top tier lyricist" according to some tweets he shared in January. But just a couple months later, Fiasco might be reevaluating his comments.
The rapper recently took to Instagram live to apologize for not respecting Lamar’s talent. “Maybe I should have just left it alone. Even though my impetus was the ‘Control’ verse,” he said in the video. “I mean you put yourself out there like that. So, you opened yourself up to critique…I apologize for even engaging and talking about n----- careers, I’ll never do that s--- again.” However, the rapper made it clear that the beef he retains with Cleveland artist Kid Cudi is alive and well. “F--- Cudi. Forever,” he said, “that n---- will never get an apology from me. F--- that b----.”
