The Weeknd is set to hit the stage at Coachella this April. Naturally, fans are waiting with bated breath for new music from the singer to materialize, and their wishes may soon come true. According to TMZ, Abel was recently spotted shooting a video, presumably for an upcoming new single, in California.

TMZ obtained a video that showed the singer, dressed in an all-black ensemble, taking a stroll down a street with his camera crew. Another scene shows Abel riding a hoverboard in the rain. The Weeknd reportedly shut down streets in a small town called Taft, California and at the end of the video, fans gathered outside the singer's black SUV to snap pictures.

While fans have yet to hear any new music, Abel's friend and close collaborator Travis Scott revealed that he already previewed The Weeknd's album and praised the singer on Twitter earlier this month. "Abel new album is scray. It’s like when I first heard him for the first time. Fuckkkkkk !!!!!" he wrote.

The Weeknd hasn't released any solo music since dropping his 2016 effort Starboy, but was recently featured on Black Panther: The Album alongside Kendrick Lamar on "Pray for Me."

Billboard has reached out to reps for The Weeknd for comment.
