After news surfaced via TMZ of a post-Grammys altercation between Quavo of the Migos and Eric Da Jeweler, when the jeweler reportedly accused Quavo of owing him money, Eric took to his Instagram account to clear up the smoke.

The jeweler uploaded a photo of him and Quavo and explained in the caption that there is no bad blood between the two. It was also reported that Eric was suing Quavo for a $30,000 chain that was snatched during the skirmish. "Just for the record since the media likes to put things in their own words and elevate things that aren't really true to another level, I am not suing or pressing charges against @quavohuncho the media got it all twisted it was all just a big misunderstanding. We are on good terms and back to conducting business as usual!"

When Billboard reached out to the NYPD about the incident, detective Sophia T. Mason said, "A complaint report for Robbery was filed for an incident that occurred on January 29, 2018 at approximately 0430 hours at [1Oak]," she wrote. "The 25 year old male complainant reported he was assaulted by a member of a musical group (Quavious Marshall) and suffered a swollen right side. He also stated that his necklace was taken during the incident. There are no arrests at this time and remains an active investigation."
