Lil Uzi Vert Hits 'Late Show' Stage for Moody Performance of 'The Way Life Goes'
Lil Uzi Vert's "too cool for school" demeanor has been showcased on many a stage. At the 2018 Grammys red carpet, the Philadelphia musician answered questions with one of the most nonchalant attitudes ever seen. His visit to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Monday night (Feb. 5) gave us more of the un-bothered Uzi that we've come to adore him for.
The rapper performed a slow, almost sleepy rendition of his Luv Is Rage 2 hit "The Way Life Goes." Rocking a black leather jacket, jeans and a black knit cap, Uzi kept his hands tightly gripping the mic, singing the sweet tinged melody from the record on a dimly lit set highlighted by red filters.
"Wish I never ever ever told you things/ I was only tryna show you things, Iced out heart on your neck trying to froze your ring," Uzi crooned. The rapper concluded the performance, laughing playfully as Colbert rang in the applause.
