Cardi launched her latest single back in December, while enlisting 21 Savage on the brash "Bartier Cardi." The Bronx native did catch criticism for her frequent use of her boyfriend's name in raps. The chart-topping rapper took to Instagram to speak directly with her fans. A user under the alias of BrownVyxen commented, "Poor Cardi. She's just like y'all." Cardi B must've gotten a glimpse of the comment, as she had time to reply, "Well if people are talking about it and keep asking me how I feel about the situation why not let them know? Right or wrong? No it's not right for a n---a to cheat...But what you want me to do? Go f--- me another n---a? Start all over again and get cheated on again? "I’m not going to let somebody call him ‘homophobic’ when I know that he’s not,” she said on the broadcast. “And I’m saying this because I seen him around these...around gays, and he treats them with the same respect he treats everybody. He never acts uncomfortable and he just don’t care."

You have low self-esteem. I don’t have low self-esteem. I know I look good. I know I’m rich, I know I’m talented. I know I could get any man I want -- any basketball player, football player. In an interview with GQ just prior to unveiling her baby bump on Saturday Night Live, the "Bodak Yellow" rapper expanded on the thought that she would want to raise her family with Offset in Atlanta. "[Offset] decided, though, that we’re going to build a house in Atlanta, and that’s the house that we’re gonna raise our kids in. But my job is in New York, always, so I can barely spend time in Atlanta," she explained.

During the same interview, she also talked about Offset's business acumen, which helps makes sure Cardi's business practices are also in line. "I don't really know the music business too well. Offset opted to walk the red carpet for the lavish Met Gala alongside his Migos brothers as a guest of Donatella Versace in their matching Versace attire, rather than be by the pregnant Cardi's side. They did happen to attend the Gala's after party with one another. "It’s like, if y’all got so much people going with y’all, y’all could have just let him walk with me and take the two boys," Cardi told The New York Times. "That’s why my baby ain’t never gonna stand out."

August 2018: Cardi B Opens the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards

One month after baby Kulture arrived, Cardi was set to open the 2018 MTV VMAs. As part of her monologue, she was holding what looked to be her bundle of joy wrapped up in a blanket, which actually ended up just being a moonman statue that would be later handed out. Offset didn't seem to be too thrilled with Cardi's joking antics. "Why Set said, ‘I was so mad when I saw you on stage with that blanket. I thought you want going to show Kulture,'" she tweeted with a series of laughing emojis.

November 2018: Cardi B Comments On Offset as a Father

Entertainment Tonight caught up with Cardi at the launch event for her very own Fashion Nova x Cardi clothing line. The Atlantic Records signee was very complimentary of Offset's advanced parental instincts. "He’s changing diapers, but I’ve been seeing Offset being a dad. He already has three kids, so I already fell in love with the way that he was a dad already. I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I can have a little one with this guy.’ He’s really good," she said. "I want two more. It could always be a hit or a miss, but I don’t want nothing right now."

December 2018: Cardi B Says She and Offset Are No Longer Together

Just over a year since their private marriage (Dec. 5), Cardi B took to Instagram with a shocking video informing fans that she had broken up with Offset. "We got a lot of love for each other but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time," Cardi revealed. "I don’t know, it might take time to get a divorce." Offset chimed in on the post with a simple message. "Y'all won," he commented.

Later in the month, Cardi B headlined Los Angeles' Rolling Loud festival, and Offset -- with a parade-worthy floral arrangement -- shocked her when he crashed her stage in the middle of her set. The grand gesture wasn't received the way he hoped, and Cardi B made a point to discourage her followers from bashing her "baby father" online in the hours after the event, and even praised his relationship with baby Kulture.

"Violating my baby father is not going to make me feel any better, because at the end of the day, that's still family," she said. "God could bring me the most perfect and glamorous and fabulous man. That perfect, glamorous, fabulous, perfect man is not going to love my child the same way her father loves my child. So I don't like that bulls--t. I know how painful it is when you have millions of people bashing you every single day. I don't like that. And it doesn't make me feel any better. Period."

I appreciate all the love! But what I need most right now from my fans is support and respect.
