Rapsody in her documentary Where Flowers Bloom

Last September, Rapsody silenced critics with her magnum opus Laila's Wisdom. With 9th Wonder laying down the beats, Rapsody sharpened her lyrical blade for combat and presented the world a project that's now nominated for two Grammy awards. Today, Billboard premieres her new TIDAL documentary Where Flowers Bloom, based on the creation of her latest endeavor.

Throughout the 23-minute, black-and-white-shot visual, Rapsody details the creative process behind Laila's Wisdom. "I titled the album Laila's Wisdom after my grandmother," she begins. "It was one quote over and over and over everyday every time I went to her house. Every phone call I made, she would always say, "You came to give grandmother her flowers. What that means [is] you give flowers to people in the sense of not physical flowers, flowers as in time, your love, your energy. That's what I wanna do with the music."

The documentary also features commentary from Rapsody, her family members, and executive producer 9th Wonder. Check out the doc in full below.
