Drake performs at Qudos Bank Arena on Nov. 7, 2017 in Sydney, Australia.

Drake was noticeably absent from music in 2017, having only dropped his "playlist" More Life and a few feature verses. But as his recent Instagram posts and newly surfaced music indicate, Drizzy has been hard at work in the studio and we may soon be able to hear what he's been cooking up.

A string of new songs from Drake has made its rounds on the Internet after a few tracks were previewed during 3rd Shift NYC and Animal House's New Year's Eve party. In a fan-shot video from the event, Drake can be heard rapping, "They started talkin' to me like I’m slowin' down/ Opinions over statistics, of course/ Gassed off journalistic, come at me and all you'll get is the ballistic report." The lyric was also mentioned in a recent Instagram post from Odell Bechkam Jr., who's one of Drake's close friends.

In another clip, the fan is rapping along to a different unreleased cut presumably titled "God's Plan." The rhythmic track features a booming trap style beat as Drake, in his signature rap-sing, says, "You know how I like it when you love on me/ I don’t wanna die for them to miss me."

In the wee hours of Wednesday, Drake posted a slew of photos of himself in the studio. In one photo, the rapper is sitting next to a large portrait of Sade, an "important" woman in his life, while another photo finds the rapper seemingly in deep thought staring at his laptop with the caption, "Plots that don't twist."
