Grammy Award-winning rapper Lil Wayne has just been named headliner for the 2018 AVN Awards, an awards ceremony presented by the adult video industry magazine, Adult Video News (AVN) that honors the best of the best in the adult entertainment industry.

The AVN Awards, what many consider to be the Oscars of pornography, are no stranger to inviting rap acts to headline with Tyga hitting the stage previously in 2013, Machine Gun Kelly in 2014 and Waka Flocka Flame in 2016.

“We are extremely pleased to have Lil Wayne performing at the 2018 AVN Awards,” AVN president Tony Rios announced. “Like many of the talent within the adult industry, he is also a successful entrepreneur, having opened his own company, Young Money Records. He’s an amazing addition to this year’s show and we look forward to having him.”

Wayne commented that “this is one of those bucket list moments for me. I’m super stoked to be a part of the awards show this year.”

The 2018 AVN Awards will be hosted by adult stars Angela White and Harli Lotts on Jan. 27 at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas.

Tickets to the event can be purchased here. Check out the official announcement below (warning: AVN Twitter contains adult content).
