Monday (Dec. 18) was a sad day for rapper MF Doom (Daniel Dumile), the masked rapper who notified his Instagram followers that his 14 year-old son had passed. "King Malachi Ezekiel Dumile 2/22/03 - 12/18/2017 the greatest son one could ask for," Doom wrote in a caption to the image of him holding a picture of his late son.

"Safe journey and may all our ancestors greet you with open arms. One of our greatest inspirations. Thank you for allowing us to be your parents." The mysterious MC had not revealed any additional details on the cause of death or funeral arrangements at press time.

The enigmatic artist released his last full-length solo album, Born Like This, in 2009 and a "Doomsayer" remix produced by Young Guru in October. A spokesperson for Doom could not be reached for further comment at press time.
