Nothing beats random acts of kindness, especially when they're from one of our favorite celebs and they happen during the holidays. Jay-Z gets it and he served up just such an act on Saturday night (Dec. 16) during a stop on his 4:44 tour in Oakland, California's Oracle Arena.

Via a fan-recorded video — in the middle of his set, the Brooklyn-bred rapper stopped performing to read a sign near the front of the crowd. Held up by a woman named Christina Cruz, the glitter-filled sign read, 'I beat cancer 2x 2 see u! I love u!!! Selfie or hug?' After reading the sign aloud, Jigga seemed to think it only right to grant at least one of her requests. "I gotta give you at least a hug. Could somebody help her around please?" he said.

After a brief moment on stage, the two embraced and took a photo.
