Big Sean and Metro Boomin are shaking up the hip-hop world with the release of joint album Double or Nothing, arriving today (Dec. 8). Not only are both Sean Don and Metro present on every one of the project's 10 songs, but other heavy hitters such as Travis Scott, 2 Chainz, 21 Savage -- whom Metro Boomin teamed up with in 2016 for joint mixtape Savage Mode? -- and Young Thug are also featured.

With so many artists making their marks on this one album, you'd be correct in expecting to hear different flavors throughout. For example, opening track "Go Legend" (featuring Travis Scott) starts off with a hazy '70s pop sample. "In Tune," the eighth track, similarly eases listeners in with a smooth, tranquilizing sound. Skip to "Pull Up N Wreck," though, and you have no time to brace yourself before beats and verses are in your face.

Big Sean has been very reflective on Twitter ahead of the album's release. (He has also shared a video of LeBron James listening ahead.) On Wednesday (Dec. 6), the Detroit native tweeted three times explaining, "Man I'm too hype to drop 2 projects in one year, this the perfect way to finish 2017 strong! I'm honored to be able to do this 4real! The world is based off the energy you give. So if u love me I love you, if you hate me I still love you, cus I ain't got time to hate. Facts. Get in tune with yourself."

And once the album was let out into the world, Sean's mood elevated even more:
