See Lil Peep's Final Instagram Posts

Several celebrities took to social media to mourn the death of Lil Peep on Thursday (Nov. 16). A look at the burgeoning emo rapper’s own Instagram, however, shows the artist talking frankly about his depression and drug usage in the days leading up to his death -- though such topics had long been regular topics of Peep's social media posting.

On Wednesday, the 21-year-old rapper posted a photo from a recent concert with the caption, “When I die You’ll love me.” In another video, he danced to Green Day’s “American Idiot” and boasted about his drug use, writing, “I just took honey and shrooms.”

Perhaps Lil Peep’s most harrowing post, however, was a brief video he shared after his Tuesday show in El Paso, Texas, in which he smoked a cigarette and smirked at the camera.

Accompanying the video was an extended caption: “I just wana be everybody's everything I want too much from people but then I don't want anything from them at the same time u feel me I don't let people help me but I need help but not when I have my pills but that's temporary one day maybe I won't die young and I'll be happy? What is happy I always have happiness for like 10 seconds and then it's gone. I'm getting so tired of this.”

Fans have flooded Peep’s Instagram to express their love for the artist and grief over his untimely death. Some said they wished the rapper’s friends and loved ones had recognized his posts as cries for help before it was too late.
