The rising rapper posted a warning to young artists on Instagram, saying his former manager sold his track's beat.

YBN Nahmir quickly gained traction with his viral hit "Rubbin Off the Paint" but despite the song's success, the budding rapper has been dealing with some legal drama behind the scenes. On Wednesday (Nov. 15), Nahmir posted a message to his social media warning aspiring rappers about the music industry after he learned that a former manager sold the beat to his breakout song without his knowledge.

Nahmir began his message with the warning, "***ALL YOUNG ARTISTS BEWARE***" and claimed that as soon as "Rubbin Off The Paint" blew up, his former manager took advantage and sold the beat someone at a "big record company."

"Then the company tried to force me to do a deal w them claiming they own my song," he continued. The news comes on the heels of "Rubbin Off The Paint," which has already amassed over 48 million views on YouTube -- recently entering the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 79. Vince Staples also gave the rising rapper a co-sign by dropping his own remix of the song.
