Chance the Rapper in a promo for Saturday Night Live

Chance the Rapper is one of the biggest hip-hop artists alive. His latest mixtape, Coloring Book, peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 albums chart based solely on streams, and he’s headlined some of the biggest festivals across the country. It stands to reason that he probably doesn’t get nervous before performing very often.

But hosting Saturday Night Live is a different ballgame, as Chance admits in the promo video for his Nov. 18 appearance. Cast member Beck Bennett’s solution? “Usually I just dance a little bit.” Cue a ridiculous, red-lit dance montage featuring several other SNL cast members, as well as a disgruntled Kenan Thompson who walks by the break room and mutters, “Smoking my stuff.”

This Saturday marks Chance’s hosting debut on SNL after two successful performances. This time, he’ll leave the musical duties to Eminem. It’s the latest in an all-star November lineup, also including Miley Cyrus and Larry David and, most recently, Tiffany Haddish and Taylor Swift.
