N.E.R.D. Enlists Rihanna for Dance-Centric Video for New Single 'Lemon': Watch

On Wednesday (Nov. 1), N.E.R.D. kept their word and unleashed their comeback record "Lemon," featuring Rihanna, on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show. The effervescent single is accompanied by a new video, which briefly features the Bajan songstress and a bald-headed model, who eventually steals the show.

From the onset, Riri is sitting at the edge of the bed with some hair clippers in hand. Then, she proceeds to shave off the hair from the model, who later becomes a dance-happy machine. As the newly bald model struts throughout an empty bike store in her tank top and baggy jeans, Riri's boastful verse serves as her soundtrack.

"This ain't a scrimmage, motherfucker we ain't finished, I told you we won't stop," raps Riri with zeal. Despite their absence in the video, N.E.R.D.'s front-man, Pharrell Williams, punches in with a colorful verse of his own. "Hate! Bad bitches wanna be my bae/ Hate! Hold me down like the C.I.A/ Hate! Side of my car, tryna see my face/ Hate! Want me to beat it like the T.I. case," raps Williams.

"Lemon" comes at the perfect time, as N.E.R.D. are slated to perform at ComplexCon this weekend, marking their first live show since Tyler, The Creator's Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in 2014. In 2015, Pharrell gave fans a sign of hope when he revealed that he and the group were working on new material. Last weekend, posters bearing the group's name were scattered in various places, most notably at the Camp Flog Gnaw carnival.
