Nicki Minaj Addresses Theories About Her 'MotorSport' Feature

When Migos released their new song, "Motor Sport" featuring two of the hottest female rappers in the game, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, it didn't take long for rumors about the two feuding to once again start circulating. As the rumors multiplied, Minaj took to Twitter to address the critics and shared her side of how "Motor Sport" came about.

Nicki informed the her critics that when she first received the track, the only other person featured on it was Quavo. "I was on the song w/Quavo. No one else was on it," she said. "He called & asked if I think we should put Bardi on it, I said “ok let’s do it”. The end."

She later added that whenever she does a feature, it has to be approved by her first before it's published anywhere. "It can’t even go on a streaming service w/o me hearing it & giving written approval," she continued before calling out "men in our culture who simply refuse to let it go."

To conclude her rant, Nicki retweeted a video of Cardi addressing "Motor Sport" rumors in an interview with Complex. When asked if her joining Nicki on the song was a way to lay all the "beef" theories to rest, she agreed and added that even if they were "making out" in a photo, people would still find a way to pit the rappers against each other. "I feel like people just want that drama just cause it’s entertaining," she told Complex

Nicki's tweets were in response to a recent episode of Everyday Struggle, where Joe Budden shared his thoughts on "Motor Sport." Budden said that he believes Kanye West is the mastermind behind the uproar caused by "Motor Sport," a theory that might not be so far off given that Quavo has teased that someone big has executive produced the trio's upcoming album Culture 2, though he's yet to reveal who it is.

"I think that Kanye suggested to Migos to put Nicki on this song," Joe said. "I do not think that Migos or anybody stepped to Nicki and said, 'We have a record featuring Migos and Cardi and we would like you to get on it.' I don't believe that happened."
