Chance the Rapper's Upcoming Werewolf Horror Film 'Slice' Shares Animated Teaser

'Atlanta' actress Zazie Beetz, Joe Keery of 'Stranger Things' and comedian Paul Scheer all have roles in the movie.

Chance the Rapper is stepping out of the recording booth and onto the big screen. On Tuesday (Oct. 31), production company A24 unveiled a short, mostly animated teaser for the upcoming horror film Slice starring Chano, due out in theaters in next year.

Chance first teased the film in October 2016 with a mini clip and the caption, "Slice. Starring Me the Actor. In theaters 2017." The "Blessings" rapper will act alongside Atlanta actress Zazie Beetz as well as Joe Keery (Stranger Things) and comedian Paul Scheer. Director Austin Vesely previously told Pigeons and Planes that film was inspired by David Lynch's beloved cult series Twin Peaks.

The brief trailer didn't include any details of the film, but Variety reveals that the movie "takes place in mysterious city, and centers around an enigmatic outlaw framed for a killing spree that targets unsuspecting pizza delivery boys." Fingers crossed Slice receives a Rotten Tomatoes score that pleases Chance, or he might go on a spree of his own

The Chicago native is no stranger to film and starred in the 2015 VICE film Mr. Happy. On the music front, Chance recently debuted a new song titled "First World" with Daniel Ceasar on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert .
