SZA's 'Love Galore' With Travis Scott Now Certified Platinum

Nearly a year ago, SZA threatened to leave music in a tweet saying, "I actually quit," frustrated with her debut album's delay. Fast forward to today, the songstress has finally unleashed her debut album CTRL, which has grown into one of the year's biggest releases -- hitting the No. 3 spot on the Billboard 200 and drawing near-universal acclaim -- and now, the singer can add another hyphen to her name: platinum-selling artist.

SZA's CTRL lead single "Love Galore" featuring Travis Scott was certified platinum on Sept. 20. Brimming with excitement over earning her "LIL PLATINUM THINGY," SZA expressed her gratitude in an Instagram post, thanking her fans and collaborators for the support.

"I GOTTA LIL PLATINUM THINGY W MY FUGGIN NAME ON THA SIIIDE ! DIS SHIT CRAZY!" she wrote. "Really don't have jack to say but thank u so much to every single person who ran that shit back to scream at the nigga they didn't have . Thank you all for listening to my thoughts at all."

Since releasing her debut album, the "Drew Barrymore" singer has dipped into the pop world and connected with artists like Maroon 5 for "What Lovers Do" and Lorde for "Homemade Dynamite (Remix)," alongside Khalid and Post Malone
