Ahmir Khalib Thompson aka Questlove arrives to the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Jan. 8, 2017.

'Creative Quest' is described as "a guide to living your best life" and will come out on April 24, 2018.

Questlove, the co-founder of the Grammy-winning hip-hop group The Roots and the musical director of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, has just announced a new book titled Creative Quest. The book, which is described as "a guide to living your best life," will come out on April 24, 2018.

Through his own experiences and those of other artists, Questlove explores creativity and how to find it.

"Whether discussing his own life or channeling the lessons he’s learned from forefathers such as George Clinton, collaborators like D’Angelo, or like-minded artists including Ava DuVernay, David Byrne, Bj√∂rk, and others, Questlove speaks with the candor and enthusiasm that fans have come to expect," Questlove's publisher, Ecco, told Buzzfeed. "Creative Quest is many things -- above all, a wise and wide-ranging conversation around the eternal mystery of creativity."

The cover for the book was also announced, along with an explanation by Questlove himself. Designed by Reed Barrow, it shows an abstract sculpture of Questlove made out of ordinary objects such as records, tin cans and candles.

"When it came time to do the cover for this book, what sprung to mind was making a machine about how things spring to mind, and a Rube Goldberg machine was the perfect match," Questlove told Buzzfeed. "What else is creativity? It's a brain passing through a million small steps to be able to take one big step."

This isn't the first time The Roots instrumentalist has written a book. Last year, he released something to food about: Exploring Creativity with America's Most Innovative Chefs, and in 2013, wrote his memoir Mo' Meta Blues
