After signing Atlanta rapper J.I.D earlier this year, J. Cole has expanded his Dreamville imprint even further. On Thursday (Aug. 31), Dreamville took to social media to announce the newest addition to their roster, Atlanta duo EarthGang. To coincide with the announcement of their new home, the group unleashed their new EP Rags.

Cole doesn't have to stray too far when scouting for talent, as much of the Dreamville roster has been on the rapper’s radar for quite some time. Before EarthGang signed with Cole, the group were a part of the larger collective Spillage Village – frequent Dreamville collaborators – comprised of fellow ATLien J.I.D, Hollywood JB and Jordxn Bryant.

To introduce EarthGang to the imprint, Dreamville unveiled a mini-documentary of the crew -- as they’ve previously done with Cozz and J.I.D. In Gang’s video, the Dreamville head honcho is chilling with the group in a studio, where he praises the rappers for “capturing the [Atlanta] sound” and producing material that “is really painting that fucking picture, and giving that vibe."

Gang’s newest project Rags is a short work, as just five tracks appear on the EP, but it's by no means insubstantial, even enlisting J.I.D, Childish Major and Mick Jenkins for guest appearances.Stream EarthGang’s new EP here and watch the group’s Dreamville intro below.
